Home & Waiting to Leave

We came home from our trip to Canada where we had wonderful weather, and all of a sudden our wonderful weather decided to go South.  The first two days it rained Roger was ready to head to Yuma...  So we have been getting things put away, sorted through and cleaned up and ready to go.

The fishing is over, the crabbing is too wet and windy, but the oysters are just up the bay to purchase!  Good thing because my 97 year old Dad came up to visit with my brother, and he doesn't care what the weather as long as he can have oysters!  So we had those for dinner a couple of times so he could eat all he wanted.  Went to see the kids so they could have photo's with Great Grandpa, and some 5 generation photos also.

Canada Trip

Right now we are in Canada on a trip to see some places we have never been to, and after I downloaded my photos I realized that I have them backwards in order of where we have been.  So read first and then enjoy as you don't care when we were where right? Right!
Spent a couple of days driving up the Oregon coast and then up the Olympic Peninsula
where we stopped at the Quinault Lodge, and couldn't get a room but took some photo's of the back side and the view out over the lake.
Then on up to Port Angeles and then on the ferry to Victoria where of course we went to the Butchart Gardens and the Butterfly Garden
We spent three days there and walked the whole city, as our hotel was a few blocks from downtown.
Had dinner at an Italian restaurant and had the BEST meal we have had in a long time.
Got a kick out of the house boats on Fishermans Wharf and the sign at the end of one of the two rows of house boats.
 Out our room now

 Fisherman's Wharf

 Butchart Gardens

 Butterfly Garden

 Quinault Lodge
Then drove up to Nanaimo and met some friends who come to Yuma and live there, and then on to the ferry to Vancouver where we stayed overnight. And today Oct 2nd we drove through beautiful mountains and into the nice little town on the lake called Osoyoos?? and have a nice balcony in our hotel that looks out over the water
