The many faces of the "Desert"? as you go from wet to dry on a 4-wheel trip to one of the many mines in the area. Last night we went to an Antique Car Parade of nearly 1,000 cars and then in two weeks we go to the Blue Angels farewell show as they do their Winter training 50 miles from here. Marine Base tours and Air Show, wonderful hiking and biking trails, Camel Farm, unlimited Grapefruit, Oranges, Lemons, Lettuce, Broccoli etc. grown here, Mexico 20 minutes away, fabulous neighbors, every Restaurant you can name, Awesome Swap Meet, (for those inclined 3 Casinos), huge Mall, lots of golf courses and of course sunshine, sunshine sunshine! Now you know why we are here! COME SEE US!

Just a few shots of our time here in Yuma. We have awesome sunsets and even tho this year has been on the cooler side it is still in the 70's and sunshine. Roger filled his "Desert Hot Tub" and we are letting the sun do its thing in warming it up. We love being here and keeping the old bones warm but we miss our family and friends back home in Oregon, Washington , Idaho & Utah. Happy Birthday once again to all our family who have had Birthdays and Anniversaries while we have been gone. I think we have remembered most of you with either a phone call or email, but if we missed anyone just know we love you and love getting your updates by email and blogs and especailly phone calls. Family is what it is all about and we are so proud of ours, so give yourselves a big pat on the back for being so awesome! Love Ya

Merry Christmas from the Yuma Snowbirds. Here is our nice little tree, but don't laugh because at least we don't have ice, freezing rain or snow, and even tho it is colder than usual for Dec in Yuma; sunny and 70 is not bad! I know, I know, but a lot of us old folks just have to do it....Love Ya

I would say that this is one Happy Camper
as son Curtis graduated today, and is now a
full fledged Physician Assistant and ready
to get on with life and spend some time once
again with his family. He hasn't been able to
be home much for the last three years, and that
is too much like when he was in the Army flying
helicopters, and now instead of a new little
daughter he is a Grandpa of three. Wow how
times flys. Congratulations Curtis we are so
proud of you!
